Kin and MobLand star Emmett H Scanlan is among the newly-confirmed cast members for new Netflix series How to Get to Heaven from Belfast. The Ireland-set comedy thriller was first announced over two years ago, and follows a group of childhood mates in the wake of an estranged friend's death.

The streamer previously revealed that The Dry's Roísín Gallagher, Unforgotten's Sinéad Keenan and Andor's Caoilfhionn Dunne would take on the lead roles of Saoirse, Robyn and Dara.

It has now been revealed that they will be joined by Scanlan as Owen, as well as The Ballad Of Wallis Island's Tom Basden as Seb, Death in Paradise's Ardal O'Hanlon as Seamus, Game of Thrones' Michelle Fairley as Margo, and The Responder's Josh Finan as Jason.

Also announced are Brassic's Bronagh Gallagher as Booker, Heartstopper's Darragh Hand as Liam, Derry Girls' Art Campion as Jim, and Peaky Blinders' Natasha O'Keeffe as Greta – check out some new images below.

How to Get to Heaven from Belfast follows "clever, chaotic TV writer" Saoirse, "glamorous, stressed-out mother of three" Robyn, and "dependable, inhibited carer" Dara, who have been "a tight-knit group since school".

The series, which is due for release in February, is further described as a story about "friendship, memory and what happens when life doesn’t turn out quite like you’d expected".

Speaking previously, creator Lisa McGee (Derry Girls) said in a statement: "I’ve loved writing Saoirse, Robyn and Dara – three flawed, funny women who are about to embark on the most thrilling and terrifying adventure of their lives. A mystery full of twists and turns that will keep you guessing and make you laugh out loud. Let’s go girls!"

How to Get to Heaven from Belfast will premiere on Netflix in February 2026.
