The Couple Next Door, Channel 4's returning psychological thriller, has just confirmed the release date for its second season – and there's not long to wait.
The new series, which has confirmed an all-new leading cast, will be available to stream on Channel 4 on Monday 14 July, as well as getting a broadcast slot to watch live on the same day.
The Couple Next Door will get a brand new story for its return, and Annabel Scholey (The Split) leads the new line-up of main cast members. She'll be joined by Sam Palladio (of musical drama Nashville), Aggy K Adams (The Witcher) and Sendhil Ramamurthy (Never Have I Ever). Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered) has been confirmed to be returning as "cul-de-sac outcast" Alan for this "fresh chapter of the deliciously dark psychological drama", per Channel 4.
The first season premiered in 2023, and starred Poldark's Eleanor Tomlinson, Outlander's Sam Heughan, How to Get Away with Murder's Alfred Enoch and Jessica De Gouw (The Secrets She Keeps) as two couples that became embroiled in each other's lives – taking some "unexpected and sinister turns".

According to the synopsis, their lives are rocked when a "mysterious new hospital colleague Mia" (Adams) rents the house next to them. To add another layer of intrigue, Mia's former flame Leo (Ramamurthy) suddenly reappears.
