Michelle Keegan's Ten Pound Poms has just premiered its second season, and the actor has hinted that if season three happens, there may be a bit of a wait.

The show follows the wave of British immigrants who went to Australia and New Zealand in the aftermath of World War II, only to discover that the life they were promised wasn't what they expected.

Season one premiered in May 2023, with the second season beginning last night on BBC One (with all episodes on iPlayer now). In a Radio Times interview with Keegan and co-star Faye Marsay, talk quickly turned to a potential third season.

The duo told the publication that they "don't know yet" if a third season is happening, but they are keen on doing another one.

"I love this show and I feel very lucky to be a part of it," Keegan said. "I feel like if the audience takes with this season and there's hunger there for another season, fingers crossed the BBC will want another one. I'd definitely be up for it."

"We've got to wait and see what the appetite is for it and whether it resonates with people," Marsay added.

But it's not just waiting for a green light that could hold back the potential season three, as Keegan is currently pregnant, having announced the news right at the end of 2024.

"There'd be a bit of a delay, yeah," Keegan said when referencing her pregnancy.

Judging by the reactions on social media, it definitely looks like there's hunger for more.

Ten Pound Poms season 2 is airing on BBC One at 8pm on Sundays, although every episode can be watched on iPlayer already.
