Fans are praising the return of Michelle Keegan’s period drama Ten Pound Poms as it returns for a second season.
The BBC series follows a group of Brits in the 1950s who depart the UK in search of a new life in Australia, but find their dreams of a fresh start aren’t all that they hoped for.
After a two-year wait, the show has returned to the BBC, with the series two trailer showing Keegan’s character Kate Thorne rekindling her friendship with Robbie (Nic English).

Fans are sharing their thoughts after the first episode premiered on Sunday (March 9), with many praising Keegan’s performance as nurse Kate.

In the first series, Kate arrives in Australia after struggling as a single mother in England in the hopes of finding her lost son, who was sent abroad by a Catholic orphanage as a baby.
After finding her now primary-school aged son Michael in series one, the new series explores their new relationship as the rest of the characters battle housing, employment and relationship issues in their new country.

The Australian-set drama is written by the BAFTA award-winning Danny Brocklehurst, who has also worked with Keegan on Fool Me Once and Brassic.
It was revealed back in January that the award-winning comedy Brassic would be coming to an end with its next season, with Brocklehurst saying that "it's been a complete joy to create this eccentric world, but all good things must come to an end, and we want to stop while we are still riding high".
Ten Pound Poms is available now on BBC iPlayer. Episodes air live on Sunday on BBC One at 8pm.
