Zoe Ball is set to return to BBC Radio 2 with a "new show".
The presenter hosted her final Breakfast Show last month after announcing she would be stepping down from the role in November, with Scott Mills since taking over.
However, fellow radio presenter Gaby Roslin – who covered for Ball when she took an extended break from the show last year – has now confirmed that her friend will return to the station with a brand new show.

"She’s not stepping down. She’s going to have a new show on Radio 2," Roslin shared during a new interview with iNews.
However, she didn't disclose when Ball will return or what slot she will have on the station.

At the end of her final Breakfast Show last month, Ball told her listeners that "it’s been a real privilege" to keep them company every morning for the past six years, adding: "You’re just there and I’m just here having a chat with a mate.
"It’s such a special intimate relationship. It’s never lost on me."

She continued: "We’ve been through life’s little highs and little lows together. I really do hope we’ve managed to bring some sunshine and light when you’ve most needed it, a daft distraction from the harder stuff. I’ve been bowled over by your messages across the years.
"Thank you for sharing with me your stories… Together listeners, there’s been much laughter, some silliness, a few tears, lots of singing, and there has been dancing. May there always be dancing."
The presenter also addressed her successor Scott Mills, whom she called "one of the good’uns" as she promised that he and listeners are "going to have a lot of fun together".
Mills previously hosted the BBC Radio 2 afternoon show, which has now been taken over by Trevor Nelson.
