Neighbours confirms Jane Harris's fate next week as her son Byron Stone helps her to save her job.

Jane was recently suspended from her role as Erinsborough High's headteacher as she was caught out for dating an employee, Clint Hendry.

Viewers have recently seen Jane throw caution to the wind by pursuing Clint, who works as a cleaner at the school and Eirini Rising.

When the Education Department found out last week, Jane was reprimanded for failing to disclose the potential conflict of interest. She was suspended from her duties pending an investigation.

This week's scenes see the situation get much worse as Clint makes an unexpected confession that leaves Jane feeling utterly foolish.

This throws Jane off her game just as she's about to attend an important meeting with the Department, where her future will be decided.

During the meeting, a distracted Jane struggles to explain herself. Fortunately, she has appointed Byron to represent her interests.

Byron draws on his successful past as a lawyer to bring up previous case law and department policy.

Byron's careful research allows him to defend Jane, strongly arguing that her errors of judgement don't justify a permanent dismissal.

Much to everyone's relief, Jane is let off with a warning and is told that she can continue working at the school.

In a further twist, Education Department chief Lana Cline pulls Byron to one side. She reveals how impressed she is by his skill and requests another meeting to discuss his talents further.

Back home, Jane's loved ones celebrate the result of the meeting, failing to recognise just how heartbroken she is after Clint's big confession.

It's Aaron Brennan who senses Jane's sad mood and he pulls her to one side. As Jane laments the loss of her fresh start with Clint, can Aaron find a way to support her?

Neighbours airs these scenes on Monday, March 3.
