Leo forces himself to support Krista as she brings Sebastian into her apartment, but suggests that he go to rehab to get the proper care. Once Sebastian and Krista are alone, however, Sebastian rejects the idea. Sebastian pleads with Krista to let him stay with her and figure out his own recovery.
Despite her reservations, Krista agrees to support Sebastian however she can. She reminisces on their past together, unknowingly fanning the spark of a crush Sebastian has been harbouring for years... a spark that only grows when Krista postpones a romantic lunch with Leo to look after Sebastian, who nearly overdosed on his painkillers.
Try as he might to trust Krista, Leo is left alone and fearful that she's letting herself be dragged down by her former friend.

Meanwhile, Sadie and the housemates feel awful when Vera cheerfully announces that she's interviewing for a bungalow out the back of a share house. They're well aware that, despite Vera's enthusiasm for finding housemates her own age, their harsh words on Christmas Eve are responsible for her deciding to leave.
When a disheartened Vera fails to secure the flat, Sadie resolves to help her stand out from the crowd and nab the house of her dreams. She treats Vera to a makeover and coaches her on interview questions while Max and Byron make a batch of bribe brownies, but once again, Vera returns home unsuccessful. She might have stood out, but her personality didn't win her any points.
The housemates beg her to stay, but Vera remains committed to finding her people... it's just going to take longer than she initially thought.
Elsewhere, at Sadie's urging, Holly rids herself of Heath's perfume by donating it to the Sonya Rebecchi Foundation. The symbolic act takes a weight off her shoulders, letting her focus on organising Erinsborough Lights Up. Holly and Aaron meet up with Kendall, Yaz's hotshot lighting tech who has just arrived from America with Yaz's all- important custom control boards.
Holly catches a whiff of Kendall's perfume: Scent by Zelda. Learning that Kendall just purchased the bottle she donated to the Foundation, Holly teeters on hysteria and flees. Kendall is unimpressed by the erratic behaviour, and is further alarmed when Aaron admits that he has little lighting experience.
Aaron manages to talk Kendall down from complaining to Yaz and urges Holly to get back on site. But when Holly returns, she finds that a missing truck has put them even further behind schedule
In an attempt to catch up and save face with Yaz, Aaron overloads a trolley with the control boards. When Holly tries to help and moves them, the trolley tips, sending both of them to the ground and the control boards into the Lassiters fountain.
