Aaron's plans to go on a first date with Rhett are derailed when Yaz asks him to urgently pick up some lights for the Lights Up event. With Jane's encouragement, Aaron manages to convince Rhett to join him in the city as he completes his errand, instead of seeing the movie like they had planned.
Unfortunately, things continue to go wrong. Unable to navigate the city and constantly bringing up David, an anxious Aaron believes he's ruining the date. Luckily, Rhett senses what's happening and manages to calm Aaron's nerves... but is Aaron messing things up already?
Meanwhile, Paul and Terese continue to enjoy their honeymoon phase following the public declaration of their reunion, but when Paul excitedly suggests the two of them redevelop Power Road, Terese is suddenly left feeling very uncomfortable.

Elsewhere, reeling from the car attack, a paranoid Max begins his own investigation into whether he was the target. With the car at the garage waiting to be picked up by the police, Max searches through it for evidence, but he can't find anything. He's duly relieved when Andrew later confirms that the attack was intended for Sebastian.
However, Andrew starts to become suspicious of Max when he learns that someone searched through the car following the attack, and after he overhears Max on a secretive phone call with his father.
Elsewhere, striving to support Krista in her desire to care for Sebastian following the car attack, Leo nevertheless expresses his concerns to Paul that the two will fall into their old habit of unhealthy dependency. Paul suggeststhat Leo needs to keep his enemy close, but not too close.
With this in mind, Leo suggests that a paranoid Sebastian stay in a Lassiters' hotel room, rather than the alternative of moving into Krista's apartment. Unfortunately, despite the clever plan, Sebastian's vulnerability leaves Krista feeling like she can't leave him alone. Leo is deeply frustrated when he returns to find Krista helping Sebastian move into her apartment, but keeps mum for the sake of keeping the peace.
