Home and Away spoilers follow for Australian-paced episodes, which some UK viewers may prefer to avoid.
Home and Away's Roo Stewart will be left furious as a new character threatens her bond with Cohen Luther.
After Cohen's mum Samantha was arrested for theft, the child was placed under Roo's foster care. Though it took a while for Cohen to settle in, the pair finally began to trust each other and formed a strong bond.
In recent episodes, Roo decided she wanted to formally adopt Cohen and, after some hesitation, the child agreed. However, their hopes of becoming a family are threatened this week, with the arrival of a man who claims to be Cohen's father.
The mysterious man visits the police station to prove his identity with a DNA test. Roo is informed that her adoption application will have to be postponed until they confirm the DNA results.

Fearing the outcome of the test, Roo kicks up a fuss at the police station. But her visit doesn't give her the answers she wants to hear.
Instead, a stunned Roo comes face to face with Adrian, the man claiming to be Cohen's dad. When she sees him holding a picture of a newborn baby, Roo is filled with dread.
Later, Roo takes her foster son on a walk but decides not to tell him about the incident. Her plan is ruined when Adrian approaches the pair, having recognised Roo from earlier.
"He starts yelling out Cohen's name, who becomes very confused because he doesn't know who he is," Nathan Murray, who plays Cohen, told TV Week. "He thought this man was trying to take him away from the only person that cared about him."

Roo is absolutely furious that Adrian has upset Cohen and calls policeman Cash Newman over to help. But Cohen fears his world is about to be shaken up once again and looks to Roo for reassurance.

Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.45pm on Channel 5, with repeat screenings at 6pm on 5STAR and first-look screenings at 6.30pm on 5STAR. Selected classic episodes are available via Prime Video in the UK.
