Hollyoaks Later is back for a special one-off episode tonight, and Jorgie Porter has revealed that there will be some shocks in store for viewers. As the characters head to Liverpool, in the aftermath of the tragic village disaster, late-night chaos ensues for some of the show’s most popular characters.
Hollyoaks’ 30th anniversary week saw a plane carrying Clare and Jez crash into the village, a stunt which has already claimed the life of Peri in devastating scenes.
This evening, more drama unfolds in a groundbreaking crossover with Brookside – but then at 10.05pm, there is a post-watershed instalment to complete the spectacular week of episodes.
Theresa McQueen makes her return to the show in Hollyoaks Later tonight, and it seems her glamorous life as an influencer in Japan has gone wrong as she is caught up in an illegal smuggling operation.

Jorgie is back from her maternity leave after giving birth to her second child in December, and Digital Spy caught up with her on the red carpet of Hollyoaks’ 30th birthday event to get the gossip about what to expect from Theresa’s return.
"Theresa’s a bit of a naughty one, isn’t she?" she laughed. "She runs into someone familiar who she used to be acquainted to, which gets me excited."
There are some huge storyline strands in the Later episode, with the teens seeking escapism on a night out and Donny running away from the events that take place in Brookside Close.

"I think it’s quite shocking," Jorgie teased, when asked about the vibe of the special episode. “I think it might shock a few people. It’s deep and it’s dark."
The entire Hollyoaks Later special was filmed on location in Liverpool city centre and Merseyside – and it’s a shoot that Jorgie loved being a part of.
"I love location!" she exclaimed. "Obviously I love being out in the real world, seeing real people, filming in my warm coat. It feels like you’re on a film set, and you get to film really good stuff."

Theresa’s appearance in Hollyoaks Later will signal her return to the main show, but what’s next for the character is being kept tightly under wraps for now.
"I think I can say I’m back. Let’s say that – I’m back!" she confirmed. "I can honestly say – I’m not even being like, ‘oh, it’s a secret, I can’t tell you’ – I actually don’t know! So I’m not even keeping a secret, I literally just don’t know yet."
Hollyoaks airs tonight on E4 at 7pm, then Hollyoaks Later airs on E4 at 10.05pm the same evening. Full episodes are also released on YouTube a week after their Channel 4 release.
