Hollyoaks aired a tense cliffhanger involving Bobby Costello and Jez Blake as a huge discovery was made.
Bobby returned to the village last month after a two-year absence, though he has been on the run from authorities ever since as they demanded information on the murder of his social worker, Ian.
Ian's death was actually caused by Jez, who was covering his tracks after murdering Dennis Savage. Though he looked to have escaped justice, Jez was placed in danger after Martha Blake unwittingly confirmed his guilt to Bobby.
Monday's (21 July) episode began with Jez continuing to plan his wedding to John Paul McQueen, though his world could soon come crashing down after Dodger Savage confirmed to Liberty Savage that Dennis's remains had been found.

Bobby, meanwhile, soon pressed Martha for information. When she eventually realised that he was Mercedes' son, she threatened to call the police. Bobby reminded her that such a move would be unwise given what he knew about Jez.
Bobby pleaded with Martha to offer more information on Jez's various crimes, though she wasn't fully forthcoming. Just as she threatened to confess all, Sienna Blake arrived home, leaving Bobby to scamper away from the scene.
Jez soon got a shock as Dodger confirmed that Dennis's body had been located, though he was placed in a more immediate position of peril when his son hinted that he knew about his affair with Liberty.

John Paul called Liberty to explain herself, but she refrained from confirming the truth for the time being. Despite being in the clear, Jez's emotions got the better of him as John Paul confessed that he didn't currently love him, prompting Jez to smash a mirror.
An enraged Jez returned to his allotment to find Bobby rooting for clues, with the youngster knocking himself unconscious as he tried to escape.
As Jez brought Bobby in front of the abducted Robbie Roscoe, he menacingly said that it was "too late" to let Bobby go…
