Hollyoaks spoilers follow for the latest episode to air on E4, which is also available on the Channel 4 streaming service.

Hollyoaks' Jez Blake has confessed to a shocking murder tonight, as his sure-to-be-dramatic wedding to John Paul McQueen looms.

At the conclusion of the latest instalment, Jez went to his shed to gloat to the kidnapped Robbie Roscoe that everything in his life was turning out great.

"I will be married to the man I love, who will keep me on the straight and narrow, and I will completely have covered all my tracks," he said. "That's all thanks to you."

He continued: "It's because of you that I've accepted Sienna's relationship with Cleo. And you know the funny thing, I wouldn't be in this place, the happiest I've been in my entire life, if I hadn't killed Tommy and framed Joel for it."

But elsewhere, the cards were starting to stack up against Jez.

Bobby Costello had escaped from evil Clare Devine and managed to call mum Mercedes, but his phone battery died. He later secured another phone and called again, only this time Jez's mum Martha picked up.

In her dementia confusion, she believed it was her own son asking him to meet at The Folly and went there. Bobby picked up on her confusion and played along, hoping to get some money out of her.

In the end though, he got something far more important from Martha — the knowledge Jez was the one who killed Ian the social worker.

Elsewhere in the latest drama-filled episode, Liberty Savage couldn't contain her bad mood about Jez and John Paul's pre-wedding celebration. Dodger also worked out that she's been having an affair with him and had fallen in love.

Hollyoaks airs on Mondays-Wednesdays with its Channel 4 streaming premiere at 7am, then an E4 broadcast the same night at 7pm. Full episodes are also released on YouTube a week after their Channel 4 release.

Selected omnibus episodes are available via Prime Video.
