Hollyoaks is lining up another shock exit as Sherrie Hewson is set to bow out from the role of Martha Blake later this year.
The Blake matriarch is poised to leave the village just 18 months after wreaking havoc with her serial killer son, Jez (via The Sun). Jez is played by returning star Jeremy Sheffield, who previously portrayed his equally evil twin brother, Patrick Blake.
Details of Hewson's exit storyline haven't yet been disclosed, with Hollyoaks declining to comment on the actor waving goodbye to Chester.
Martha has been at the centre of many a dramatic storyline with Jez, including the poisoning of her granddaughter Sienna Blake.
Despite Martha leaving soon, it seems that Sienna and her new partner Cleo McQueen won't have an easy life as Marie Fielding meddles in their affairs.

Hollyoaks airs on Mondays-Wednesdays with its Channel 4 streaming premiere at 7am, then an E4 broadcast the same night at 7pm. Full episodes are also released on YouTube a week after their Channel 4 release.
