Hollyoaks has confirmed how Mercedes McQueen will be caught out in the storyline involving Bobby Costello.
It was confirmed last month that Bobby would be returning to the village after a two-year absence from the Channel 4 soap, with the character being re-introduced following his escape from a juvenile detention centre.
Unbeknownst to the authorities, including local police officer Donny Clark, Mercedes was already aware of Bobby's getaway. Upcoming scenes depict her reunion with her son at The Dog.
Knowing it's not safe for him to be in Cheshire, Mercedes attempts to get Bobby out of the village, but she will have a shock in next week's scenes as it soon becomes apparent that he has gone missing.

It seems that Myra McQueen may have had something to do with the matter. Apologising to Mercedes, she explains that she was merely having an innocent chat with Donny, unaware that it could have repercussions for Bobby.
Meanwhile, Tony Hutchinson is overseeing renovations at The Dog. He confesses to Darren Osbourne that he is downbeat following a recent spectacle in the village. As he sweeps through the building, he makes a shocking discovery.
Spotting a takeaway cup sporting Mercedes' initials, Tony immediately twigs that she had been harbouring Bobby in his own pub. Triggering sad memories of the death of his half-sister Verity Hutchinson, which was caused by Bobby, Tony is enraged.

He soon confronts Mercedes over the matter, demanding answers over Bobby's whereabouts. She explains that she has no idea where he is, but urges Tony not to contact the police. Consumed by rage, Tony is in a defiant mood.
Will he listen to Mercedes' pleas and keep the authorities out of the matter? And what exactly did Myra do in the lead-up to Bobby's disappearance? And finally, where could Bobby be?
Hollyoaks airs on Mondays-Wednesdays with its Channel 4 streaming premiere at 7am, then an E4 broadcast the same night at 7pm. Full episodes are also released on YouTube a week after their Channel 4 release.
