The McQueens are organising a "screw you, cancer" party for Mercedes, although Prince has doubts over whether it's a good idea. Mercedes interrupts the surprise early and hears that it was Freddie's idea, so she insists that her family should carry on organising it.
Later, Mercedes behaves suspiciously after a text message. The party gets into full swing and Myra makes a heartfelt speech, but the event soon comes to a pause.
Donny arrives on police duty and discreetly warns Mercedes and Myra that Bobby has escaped from the secure home. The police believe that he made his escape in a social worker's car.
Later, a voicemail from Mercedes reveals a plan to meet Bobby.
Meanwhile, Jez worries about Dodger's plans to meet with Tori's former social worker. He wants to join Dodger for the meeting, but gets sidetracked when John Paul invites Jez and all the Blakes to Mercedes' remission party.

Dodger meets with the social worker as planned, hoping to find out what really happened to Dennis. The social worker is clearly nervous and explains that Dennis made a confession before his death - he was being harassed by a member of the Blake family.
Dodger speculates to Jez that Dilly could have been the person who Dennis was concerned about. Jez is pleased that he isn't in the frame so far.
Later, John Paul expresses his upset over Jez not attending the party. Things get even worse for Jez when a blackmail letter is slid underneath the door of the Blakes'.
Elsewhere, Diane and Marie battle for Tony's affections. Before long, Tony, Diane and Marie all exchange cruel words in a tense showdown and Tony is left embarrassed by what's happened.
