Hollyoaks spoilers follow for the latest episode to air on E4 and stream on the Channel 4 service.
Hollyoaks' Ste Hay has made a major decision in tonight's episode after learning the truth about boyfriend Rex Gallagher.
Rex has been working with sister Grace Black in the grooming gang. That forced the village's teens into drug dealing and prostitution, more recently working with undercover cop Dodger Savage to take it down.
Previously, Rex gave Darren Osborne his phone to call Ste as he and Robbie Roscoe were carted away in a van to be killed. That led to them being rescued at the last minute.
In tonight's episode, Darren and Nancy reunited in the hospital, and Ste asked if they had seen Rex, hoping they would tell him his boyfriend wasn't involved in a dark way.

"He was helping you wasn't he, 'cause he handed you the phone. So he hasn't got anything to do with this gang," he said.
"Ste, he's working for them. He's groomed my daughter," Darren replied, unable to say what Frankie had been made to do.
Elsewhere, Rex and Dodger had pooled all their savings together and converted it to cryptocurrency in order to bid on the kidnapped teens in the gang's virtual auction, but were quickly outbid on Vicky.
Ste returned home and caught Rex trying to bid on Dillon. Rex told him the whole story, including how he'd been forced into prostitution in his own youth and was later made to do it to others.

When Rex asked if Ste understood he had no choice and only managed to change because of the love Ste showed him, an angry and upset Ste replied: "I do understand, all right. I understand that you're a sick predator. And you are no longer part of this family."
Elsewhere in the episode, the clash between Banks, Dodger and the teens ended in a shock death, and the true boss of the crime ring was revealed as a supposedly long-dead character.
Hollyoaks airs on Mondays-Wednesdays with its Channel 4 streaming premiere at 7am, then an E4 broadcast the same night at 7pm. Full episodes are also released on YouTube a week after their Channel 4 release.
