Hollyoaks spoilers follow for Wednesday’s episode (28 May), which is available to watch now on streaming service Channel 4 and hasn’t yet aired on TV.

Hollyoaks has aired a terrifying showdown as the exploitation storyline reaches its climax – and it ends in a shocking death.

Darren’s attempt to save rescue his daughter Frankie this week went seriously wrong, and while the teens were taken away, he and Robbie found themselves trapped in a van in a scrapyard that was about to be crushed.

With Nancy and Freddie heading to the wrong scrapyard, Darren and Robbie prepared for death in today’s episode, but thankfully they were saved by Donny at the last second.

Darren was thrilled to be reunited with Nancy, but Robbie fell unconscious after being rescued and was rushed to hospital with sepsis.

Meanwhile, Vicky, Frankie and Dillon were held in The Loft by DI Banks, who set up a livestream to auction them off on the dark web.

Rex and Dodger teamed up to try and save the teens by taking part in the auction online, but they were quickly outbid and Dodger struggled to secure more funds.

Alistair prepared for his fresh start with his wife and Tori, but he didn’t realise that one of his workers had given a huge bag of cash to Diane, thinking that she was the elusive Mrs Banks.

Dillon spotted the keys to The Loft, so he created a distraction as the teens tried to escape. This plan didn’t work, but Dillon moved the livestream camera and Dodger realised they were in The Loft.

The club soon lost power and as Alistair went to investigate, Dodger made his way to the teens and fought one of his men. However, when Dodger checked that the coast was clear to escape, he was caught by Alistair, who realised that he was the mole all along.

Left alone, Vicky, Frankie and Dillon armed themselves with guns. They hid from Alistair when he returned to The Loft, and when the trio were spotted, they all opened fire on the corrupt cop at the same time, killing him instantly.
