Hollyoaks spoilers follow for Wednesday’s episode (March 5), which is available to watch now on streaming service Channel 4 and hasn’t yet aired on TV.
Hollyoaks has aired a tragic incident involving Diane Hutchinson, in the show’s latest episode.
Diane’s son Ro recently stood up to his bully Arlo by pulling out a knife, but things went very wrong when Oscar got caught up in the fight and was stabbed.
This week, Ro tried to make amends with Oscar but made the situation worse, especially when Arlo got involved and told Nancy that Ro was intimidating her son again.

As Ro faces a conviction for assault, he confessed that he is scared of having to go to a female young offenders unit as a transgender boy, and Diane promised that she would do whatever she can to protect him.

In today’s episode, Diane made a suggestion to Tony, and later told Ro that they had decided to sell the pub to pay for a good lawyer to fight the charges.
But Ro was still concerned, and when he asked Prince for advice about surviving a stint in prison, he suggested that he blends in.
He asked Kathleen-Angel for help, and she reluctantly gave him a makeover to make him look more feminine.

Meanwhile, Nancy found out about Diane’s plan to fight Ro’s conviction, and she confronted her about Oscar having to relive his ordeal in court.
At that moment, Ro walked in wearing a dress and make up, explaining that he didn’t want to be different if he is sent away. Diane was distraught and had to be pulled away from Ro as she tried to wipe his make up off.
Nancy and Marie consoled Diane and offered to take the kids for the night, suggesting that she has a relaxing soak in the bath.

As Diane took their advice, she relapsed and started drinking a bottle of wine. She stood up in the bath to close the window, but she slipped and hit her head, falling into the running water.
Later, Marie and Tony went to check on Diane and grew worried when they saw water leaking through from upstairs. Tony was shocked to discover his ex-wife lying unconscious in the bath, with the bottle of wine of the floor.

Hollyoaks airs on Mondays-Wednesdays with its Channel 4 streaming premiere at 7am, then an E4 broadcast the same night at 7pm. Full episodes are also released on YouTube a week after their Channel 4 release.
