Hollyoaks spoilers follow.
Hollyoaks’ Ro Lomax is set to get disappointing news regarding his transition as part of the soap's ongoing gender identity storyline.
Back in March, Ro came out as transgender, telling his parents Tony and Diane that he is a boy after exploring his gender identity for some time.
Diane and Tony have been struggling to come to terms with the news ever since, with Tony initially finding it difficult to accept Ro's decision.
In scenes which will air next week, Tony and Diane clash over Ro as the Hutchinsons prepare to visit the doctor with their son.

Elsewhere, Diane, who is unravelling under the stress of family tension, turns increasingly to wine for company.
Meanwhile, Hollyoaks actor Nick Pickard, who stars as Ro's dad Tony, recently opened up about the future of the soap, suggesting it only has a two-year guarantee on its continuation.
"It's all about if the money's still coming in and we've been told that we definitely go on until at least the 30th anniversary, so that's as far as I know."
Hollyoaks streams first online via Channel 4 each weekday at 7.30pm. Episodes then air on E4 the following day, before getting their YouTube premiere a week after that.
Selected omnibus episodes are available via Prime Video.
