Hollyoaks has aired a new twist for Juliet Nightingale as she has yet another change of heart following Peri Lomax's injury.

In tonight's (November 3) episode, a concerned Leela (Kirsty-Leigh Porter) intended to confront Juliet's (Niamh Blackshaw) girlfriend Nadira (Ashling O' Shea), convinced she had burned her daughter Peri (Ruby O'Donnell) on purpose.

In earlier scenes, Nadira lit a sparkler and burnt Peri, apologising profusely afterwards. Leela, however, was sure the scald was intentional.

Peri told her mum not to meddle. The trainee nurse, who's still in love with Juliet, admitted she was trying to protect her ex from finding out the truth about Nadira.

The discussion was interrupted by Juliet, who had stopped by to check in on Peri. Meanwhile, Leela was determined to have a word with Nadira about her daughter's second-degree burn, making a swift exit to go see her.

Questioned by Leela, Nadira said she "didn't mean to hurt" Peri. But Leela was having none of it, ordering Tom (Ellis Hollins) to kick Nadira out so she wouldn't be anywhere near her granddaughter Steph.

A shocked Tom texted Peri, who rushed to his place with Juliet to keep the peace.

After Peri and Leela left, Juliet asked Nadira to be honest with her about what happened.

"I just don't buy it," Juliet told her girlfriend. "I was there. And… I think you deliberately wanted to hurt Peri."

"The truth is… I don't know whether I meant to do it or not," Nadira said.

She confessed to have acted out of jealousy, suspecting her girlfriend and Peri may get back together. A disappointed Juliet told Nadira that she needed some time to process.

"Come on, I'm not a horrible person. You know me," Nadira begged Juliet to stay.

"I thought I did," her girlfriend said and left.

Later on, Peri found Juliet sitting alone during the firework display.

Juliet told her ex that Nadira might have burnt her on purpose, with Peri simply replying: "I know."

"I know what she did was terrible and there's no reason why I should let it go, cause technically what she did was assault," Peri said. "But if she'd been charged, what would have that meant for you? You're happy, Jules, and that makes me happy."

"That's the thing. I don't know that I am. It's not like how it was with you," Juliet replied and kissed her.

Meanwhile, Nadira was making dinner for Juliet at home, hoping they could work things out. Will Juliet break up with Nadira? And will she and Peri get back together?
