Hollyoaks has revealed the identity of the person texting DeMarcus Westwood threatening messages. In the wake of Joseph Holmes being arrested for the murder of Saul Reeves, DeMarcus started receiving horrifying messages that have really been affecting his mental health, with him assuming that everyone thinks the worst about him.
Felix and Zoe Anderson believed the messages were from Joseph's mother Gill, but it turns out that wasn't the case.

In the episode, Scott Drinkwell went to Vicky Grant to see if she could talk to DeMarcus — and she revealed that she had been receiving abusive messages too.
Felix and Scott confronted Gill at the park, where she stated that she didn't send the specific texts to DeMarcus, leaving the pair wondering who was behind them.

It was then revealed to the audience that it was actually Mason Chen-Williams who sent the texts. We saw him visit Eric Foster in his caravan and, after making Eric apologise for the recent spikings, Mason said that he was doing something about all the people he dislikes.
Just before the credits, we saw him texting DeMarcus again.

Although things aren't looking good for DeMarcus at the moment, it looks like himself and Vicky are at least forming a strong bond. DeMarcus actor Tomi Ade has stated it probably won't be a romance.
"DeMarcus and Vicky see each other almost as kindred spirits, two young people who feel broken and displaced. That pushes them closer together and there could be a sense of helping the other mend, two broken pieces making a whole," he told Inside Soap.
He added: "DeMarcus is trying to wade through the mess that life is throwing at him, so love is not the first thing on his mind. I do hope we see a smile on his face soon, though."
Hollyoaks streams first on All 4, with new episodes dropping each weekday morning. The show airs Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, and at 7pm on E4.
