Hollyoaks' Malique Thompson-Dwyer updates fans on second baby

Hollyoaks star Malique Thompson-Dwyer has taken to Instagram to celebrate the upcoming birth of his second child and let fans know just how things are going.

Thompson-Dwyer shared a snap of himself on Instagram with the caption: "Can't believe my second daughter will be born in 2 weeks, that's mad. 24 with 2 kids yano [crying laughing emoji]. Think it's time I wrap it up [aubergine emoji]. All jokes aside man, cannot wait to be a dad again, truly blessed."

Last month, Thompson-Dwyer shared a picture of himself and his girlfriend sitting on a wall together, revealing they are expecting a child as they cradled her bump.

"Ain't no one ever loved me like you love me, that's why I've got you for life [heart emoji]. You're gonna be the best mum," Thompson-Dwyer wrote.

Fellow Hollyoaks actors Richard Blackwood and Owen Warner, amongst others, left comments on the post to congratulate the couple on the exciting news. Warner wrote: "Lucky baby, got two quality parents," while Blackwood added: "Love that my bro."

This will be the couple's first baby together and Thompson-Dwyer's second child. He has another daughter from a previous relationship, which he revealed while starring in 2017's edition of I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here.

Thompson-Dwyer is best known for playing Prince McQueen in Hollyoaks, a role he played from 2016 to 2019 before leaving the show briefly, and then returning again in 2021.

Hollyoaks streams first on All 4, with new episodes dropping each weekday morning. The show airs Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, and at 7pm on E4. Selected omnibus episodes are available via Amazon Prime Video.
