I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! is on its way back to our screens, but will they be coming to us live from the depths of Wales, or the Australian outback?
Well from the sounds of it, wherever it may be, it's going to be one to remember.
The beloved ITV series fronted by Ant and Dec knows a thing or two about survival – and not just because of its running theme. When Covid hit the world like a ton of bricks and sent us all into lockdown in 2020, the team's quick-thinking meant they relocated to Gwrych Castle, Wales, keeping the team Covid-secure in the compound.
In 2021, with Australia's stringent access rules still in place, they returned to the castle ruins once again.
So what's new for this year? Will they finally return to their home on the Aussie Gold Coast, or will there be more chilly nights for the willing celebs this time round? Will they even be willing to go on the show?
Here's everything you need to know about the upcoming 2022 series…

I'm a Celebrity 2022 potential start date: When will the ITV show return?
There's currently no confirmed start date for I'm a Celebrity 2022, but judging by its past launch date it's pretty easy to guess when it will be back on our screens.
Since season four all the way back in 2004, the series has launched on the second or third Sunday of November, depending on the show's run time.
If they keep with tradition, that means the series will be back on November 13 or November 20 this year.
We'll let you know when something is confirmed, but those are certainly dates for your diary.
I'm a Celebrity 2022 cast rumours: Which celebrities could be taking part?
Currently, there are no official cast members on this year's slate – and you won't hear who's going in the jungle/castle either until the first week of November if past years are any indication.
However, there have already been rumours – and by the sounds of it, ITV is planning an All Star special series with previous favourites returning to the jungle once again. This would be a standalone away from the series, not in place of our traditional annual adventures.
Here are some of the names that have already been put on the radar for the All Star class of 2022.
Richard Madeley
Who? Good Morning Britain host.
Original I'm A Celeb appearance: 2021
Chances: Uncertain
Richard Madeley has declared he has 'unfinished business' with the show after unceremoniously exiting last year's series early.
After falling ill, he was taken to hospital, thereby breaking the Covid bubble and meaning he could no longer participate, even though as it turns out he would have been fine to return.
"I have to say, it does feel like unfinished business," Madeley said on GMB in May after the All Stars series was noted.
"On the other hand, I have a motto: 'Never go back, just keep moving forward.' I'm not sure."
Gemma Collins
Who? Reality show legend
Original I'm A Celeb appearance: 2014
Chances: Slim
It seems that the star has had enough of the jungle, and seeing as she dipped out of her appearance early back in 2014, we can't say we're entirely surprised.
"I haven't heard about it," she told The Sun. "I just don't feel that I need to go to extremes any more on TV for people's entertainment."
So it seems you can count the GC out, unfortunately!
Peter Andre
Who? 'Mysterious Girl' singer, reality star and TV presenter
Original I'm A Celeb appearance: 2004 finalist
Chances: Slim
Peter has already paid a second visit to the jungle, making a one-off appearance in 2011 after placing third seven years previously.
But it seems like he's drawn a line under the show and isn't willing to go back for another, full round.
"I mean, how many times do you do the same thing? I wouldn't but it is one of the best shows on TV. I think people would be like, 'Mate, get over it. You've been on it too many times'. I would like to present it though," he told The Sun.
However, he added that he was open to the possibility of hosting a spin-off should they need someone!
Myleene Klass
Who? Performer and presenter
Original I'm A Celeb appearance: 2006
Chances: Average
As one of the most iconic jungle residents of all time thanks to a white bikini and a classic can-do attitude, Myleene has reportedly been put on the 'wanted' list for the All-Stars special.
According to The Mirror, Myleene is in talks to head to South Africa, and in a later interview she did nothing to disprove the rumours, singing the praises of the original opportunity.
"I think the show itself is just incredible," she told Metro. "I know people think of it in different ways but for me, I think it's in the face of adversity, it's the way people get to know what they're made of, test their mettle, and just face their fear.
"She says now! I've totally blanked out everything that was horrific. I forget that they locked me in a coffin!"
Carol Vorderman
Who? Countdown queen.
Original I'm A Celeb appearance: 2016
Chances: Average
Carol Vorderman is another star reportedly in the crosshairs of the I'm A Celeb team, after making waves in the jungle last time.
The mathematician found herself a flirting buddy with Joel Dommett while in camp, with the pair becoming an unlikely duo as they performed challenges together.
A source told The Sun: "Carol was always top of producers' wishlist; in some ways she was the perfect campmate.
"She was funny, outspoken and intelligent and let's just say she gave the younger girls a run for their money in the jungle shower."
But before the All Star special was rumoured, there were other names attached to the upcoming trip to camp, and this includes:
Danny Dyer
Who? EastEnders actor, general cockney lad.
What’s the rumour? According to The Sun, Danny Dyer is top of the list of stars they want on the show following his exit from EastEnders. The star is due to bow out of the soap with a massive storyline in 2022.
A show source said: "Producers think Danny would be great on the series and is their number-one target. They’re hoping he’ll be finished in time, they’d definitely be up for a big money offer."
Nadiya Hussein
Who? The Great British Bake Off champion and TV chef.
What’s the rumour? Nadiya has previously been attached to the show, admitting she turned down an appearance in the 2020 series because of the change of location.
"It’s just so cold in Wales," she told the Guardian. "Still I can’t help wondering what it would have been like."
If the show heads back Down Under, will Nadiya finally sign on the dotted line?
The Vivienne
Who? RuPaul’s Drag Race season 1 winner and All Stars 7 finalist.
What’s the rumour? It’s frankly a miracle that none of the Drag Race queens have appeared on the likes of I’m A Celebrity or Strictly just yet, so maybe this is the year. The Vivienne has made several appearances on reality shows since her time in the werk room, and in 2021 told Lorraine Kelly she’d love to join the jungle.
"I’m petrified of spiders but get me to that jungle, I’d do it," they said. "What a great life opportunity that I’m never going to get again. I’m all for that!"
Adebayo Akinfenwa
Who? Former footballer
What's the rumour? Former Wycombe Wanderers player Akinfenwa is nicknamed "The beast" in football, and has apparently caught the eye of I'm A Celeb producers.
"Ade is in the frame and would be keen on appearing. He was a hardman on the pitch, but is a gent off it," a source told The Sun.
I'm a Celebrity 2022 location: Where will it be filmed?
It appears that after two years in Wales, the production team are making it their mission to return to Australia in 2022.
Rosemary Newell, ITV's Director of Content, said in March: "We expect I'm A Celebrity to return in Australia in November, when it will generate audience over 11 million."
This comes off the back of an interview in which Ant and Dec themselves said they had been told there were plans to head back to the original jungle campsite.
Speaking on The One Show, Ant confirmed: "Nothing against Wales. We love Wales, but Australia is home and we'd like to get back there if we can. With Covid there was no getting around it."
Guess we'll find out soon enough if they'll be able to get their wish.
However, in a chat with This Morning in April, Ant and Dec revealed the All Stars series will be set in the completely new location of South Africa.
Ant told Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield: "I don't know why [an all-stars series] has never been done before. But it's a spin-off from the main show where we've got ex-campmates who've all come together in South Africa, competing challenges, trials..."
Realising that his presenting partner may have given too much away, Dec added: "I think it's a secret..."
"It's going to be great," Ant added.
I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! returns later this year on ITV and ITV Player.
