Emmerdale spoilers follow.

Emmerdale's Lewis Barton tries his hand at matchmaking next week, in a bid to help his brother Ross get back together with his ex-girlfriend Steph Miligan.

While impressively building an app for the café, Lewis is intrigued to hear about Steph's dating history with Ross…

"Ross's romantic past hasn't really come up in conversation with his little brother so far, and it's safe to say the topic piques Lewis's curiosity," our Emmerdale source teases.

"Lewis has been amazing at everything he's tried out so far in the village, and since he already has Nicola's seal of approval as he creates an app to bring the café into the 21st century, he decides to do another good deed for Ross."

When Steph admits that she wishes her short-lived relationship with Ross had ended up differently, Lewis becomes determined to reunite the pair.

"Lewis can see that Steph still has lingering feelings for Ross," our insider adds. "The fact that she admits them in earshot of his brother proves that she hopes that Ross feels the same and will make a move on her.

"Ross is stubborn, but if anyone can win him round and convince him to go get his girl, it's Lewis."

Later, Lewis is delighted to discover that Ross does in fact feel the same way for Steph.
