Emmerdale spoilers follow.

Emmerdale's Mackenzie Boyd struggles to admit his true feelings about Charity Dingle's surrogacy plans next week – but can he voice his concerns before it's too late?

After coming to an agreement with her husband about her decision to act as her granddaughter's surrogate, Charity excitedly prepares to attend her fertility clinic appointment at the hospital with Sarah.

However, she's left lacking the support of her avoidant husband Mack when he makes his excuses and tells her that he needs to work at Butler's Farm…

"Even though Mack has tried his best to come to terms with Charity's decision, he's secretly stewing on some serious doubts," reveals our Emmerdale source.

"He discusses his worries with Aaron after informing him that he'll be steering clear of the hospital – but after their chat, Mack concludes that he actually needs to be there after all to talk to Charity."

Later, when Mack updates Aaron Dingle on the day's events, Aaron urges him to let Charity know how he's really feeling…

"Mack does want to tell Charity how he feels, but after all of their rowing in the last couple of weeks, he's worried about losing her," our insider adds.

"Carrying a child is not a small decision, and as Charity's husband, Mack feels it's his job to make sure that she's fully thought this through and to bring any possible safety concerns to her attention.

"At the same time, he doesn't want to push her away or make it seem like he isn't supportive of her."
