Emmerdale spoilers follow from Friday's episode (11 July), which is available to watch now on ITVX and YouTube but hasn't yet aired on ITV1.
Emmerdale has confirmed another big change ahead for Sarah Sugden's baby storyline.
Sarah shocks her friend Jacob Gallagher in tonight's episode, as she reveals that she wants him to be actively involved in their child's upbringing.
The pair recently made plans for Jacob to be Sarah's sperm donor as she pursues her dream of becoming a mum.
Sarah set clear boundaries at the time, explaining that she wanted to be the child's sole parent and Jacob would have no further day-to-day involvement.

In the latest episode, that all changes as Sarah consults Jacob about how he feels over her new dream of finding a surrogate. She reveals that she's changed her mind about Jacob's role in the baby's life, should her idea be successful.
Sarah explains: "I've had to grow up without my dad and I don't want the same for my child.
"If we were to have this baby by surrogate, when it arrives, I want you to be all-in…"
Although Jacob is visibly surprised by Sarah's sudden change of heart, he's keen to go along with becoming a hands-on father as they look to the future together.

Emmerdale will now be exploring the surrogacy storyline for Sarah, as she recently underwent an emergency hysterectomy amid complications during her cancer surgery.
Sarah's options with official surrogacy agencies are restricted by her life-limiting condition, which will become clear over the next few episodes.
Early next week, Charity takes matters into her own hands by approaching Sarah's auntie Victoria and asking her to be the surrogate.

When Victoria isn't keen, Charity is forced to change tactics by offering to become the surrogate herself.
The only problem is that Charity hasn't spoken with her husband Mackenzie Boyd before making the offer, which could risk the future of their marriage…
