Emmerdale spoilers follow from Thursday's episode (1 May), which is available to watch now on streaming service ITVX but hasn't yet aired on ITV1.
Emmerdale airs more worrying developments for John Sugden tonight as suspicion rises over Nate Robinson's disappearance.
There's hope at last that Nate's fate could be revealed, as Cain Dingle starts to fear that something isn't right.
Thursday's episode sees Cain consult with Nate's estranged wife Tracy, who feels abandoned by her ex.
Tracy is struggling to make ends meet without child support payments or any contact from Nate, who was the father of her young daughter Frankie.

A turning point seems to have arrived as Tracy and Cain finally discuss the possibility that something bad may have happened to Nate.
Although Cain wrongly believes that Nate answered a recent call from him, his long periods of silence still seem very strange.
Cain is starting to find it particularly implausible that Nate would entirely cut himself off from the daughter that he adored, although Tracy is less convinced that there's a sinister explanation as she's still assuming the worst of Nate.
As Cain offers to pay a visit to Nate at the wind farm where he's supposedly working in Shetland, is the truth about to come out?

Back in February, Emmerdale revealed Nate's fate when his body was seen in the lake during the dramatic limo crash episodes.
Last month, the show went a step further by confirming John as Nate's secret killer and the person who concealed his body.
Amy Walsh, who plays Tracy, recently shared the story's future by telling us: "It's brilliant. I love that the audience know and she doesn't, and they're just waiting for this pay-off and for Tracy to find out who's done it.
"It's been a long time coming – so long. Tracy has had all these feelings that Nate's done badly to her, and finally poor Nate gets his justice.
"It's such a journey for Tracy to take. I've just got some new scripts through and it's really juicy stuff for me."
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
