Emmerdale star Danny Miller has responded to claims he was "sulking" during his Celebrity Mastermind appearance earlier this month.

After the actor came last on the BBC show with a score of 10 points, some viewers took to social media to comment on his glum facial expression and accused him of "sulking".

Miller has now admitted that even his wife Steph commented on his reaction, telling him that it looked "bad".

"Steph said to me: 'why did you look like that? It looks bad'," he told The Mirror. "The truth of the matter is I was embarrassed and really gutted I hadn't got more points.

"I can't hide my feelings! I didn't want to let myself down and make a fool of myself. But there were smarter, wiser celebrities against me."

As for whether he'll make another appearance on the show in the future, Miller said: "No, I will never go back on that show! It's hard.

"I do enjoy doing quizzes – but maybe I will do something a bit more laid back like The Chase."

Elsewhere, Miller recently addressed his character Aaron Dingle's future on Emmerdale following Anthony Fox's death.

Thursday night's (January 23) episode of the soap saw Aaron confront Anthony at Caleb Miligan's depot, wanting him to acknowledge his crimes after he was revealed as a child abuser who'd preyed on his daughter Ruby when she was a teenager.

Aaron brutally beat Anthony and left him for dead before returning to the depot with his partner John, who insisted on disposing of the body.

While some fans were concerned about what Anthony's death meant for Aaron and his future in the Dales, Miller confirmed that this is just "the beginning of a long road in this storyline".

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
