Emmerdale spoilers follow.
Emmerdale’s Liam Cavanagh is set to confront Aaron Dingle over his gene test lie in upcoming scenes.
Chas, who is currently receiving treatment for breast cancer, recently revealed to her family that she has the faulty BRCA2 gene, which can raise the risk of certain types of cancer.
As a result, she encouraged her son Aaron and her brothers Cain and Caleb to get tested, as they might also have the faulty gene – which they could also pass on to their children.
All three men eventually agreed to get the test, and while Cain and Caleb both received negative results, Aaron found out that he had in fact inherited the faulty gene from his mum.

However, Aaron lied to Chas about the result and claimed that he had tested negative too, news which made his mum emotional and relieved.
Aaron is keen to keep his result to himself, but in scenes that will air on Friday, March 29, Dr Liam Cavanagh finds out that he has lied to Chas about his recent gene test.
There is tension between Liam and Aaron as he tries to confront him about lying to his mum.
Liam tells Aaron to be more honest with Chas – but will this be the moment that Aaron decides to seek support from his family?
Danny Miller, who plays Aaron, recently told Digital Spy that his character will eventually have a conversation with his loved ones about his test result.

"I think Aaron just puts it to the back of his mind," he said. "I know there’ll be some sort of conversation with Chas about it at some point.
"Chas and Paddy are the only people he would really open up to and let his guard down to, without feeling weak and vulnerable."
He continued: "I think those conversations will be had at some point. But when that is, I don’t know. And if that is, I don’t know. We’ll wait and see what the producers and the storyliners want to do with it.
"I think it’ll be interesting but fingers crossed it’d be a story that’s told with great care and detail and a positive outcome – for Aaron and for me!"
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
