Emmerdale's Rhona Goskirk is set to be left shocked after getting legal advice over her kidnap charge.
Recent scenes on the soap saw Rhona flee the village with baby Ivy after discovering ex-husband Gus Malcolms's plans to move away to France with the newborn.
Rhona originally learned about Ivy's existence when Gus admitted using her embryos without her consent to help fertility treatments for late wife Lucy.

After kidnapping Ivy, Rhona was arrested after Gus got the police involved, with Ethan Anderson representing her during her interrogation.

There, she was shocked when the detective claimed that she gave her permission to use the embryos, revealing the truth to them before they agreed to look into the matter with Gus – though Rhona was kept in custody due to her actions with Ivy.
They eventually took Gus into custody, though told her Ivy would be taken into care of social services – and while Rhona begged to be allowed to take care of the baby, she was told she had no parental rights.
She was subsequently horrified to learn that she had been charged with kidnap.

In new follow-on scenes set to air next Tuesday (February 20), Rhona and Marlon try to get legal advice from Ethan, as they refuse to give up on Ivy despite being told she has no legal rights over the baby.
Ethan then suggests to them that they should tell Gus about their plans to apply for parental rights.
However, later on Ethan tells Rhona that she will need to plead guilty if she wants to get the most lenient sentence possible.
