Emmerdale star Amy Walsh has addressed the fan response to Tracy Robinson and Caleb Miligan's affair storyline.
The pair's romantic chemistry is currently a secret to the rest of the villagers, having been revealed to viewers last month in flashback scenes.
Speaking about the viewer response to the affair so far, Amy admitted that she tries "not to look too much", though did find some "funny" comments on social media when it was first confirmed.

"The first night the kiss happened with Caleb, I went on the Emmerdale Instagram," she recalled. "There were some funny comments saying, 'She's normally on her moral high ground but look at her now!' I found that funny – it's true and I agree with that.

"But from what I've heard, and the odd thing I've seen, very quickly people have been intrigued by it because it's so shocking – the initial kiss, and Tracy's initial kiss back to him.
"I think people are saying, 'Oh my gosh, what's going to happen next?' That's what we want – I want people to believe in it."

"These things happen – people do things like this. It's quite exciting for the viewers to see what happens next – and poor Nate's journey in the future," she added.
Addressing whether Tracy and Nate's marriage can survive an affair, Amy noted that "Nate has cheated before", though admitted: "I think the fact Tracy is cheating with Nate's uncle makes it a million times worse.
"Also, Nate cheated but it was a one-night stand. It's bad, but it's not as bad as weeks and weeks of deceit and lying. It's really bad what they end up doing."

"I don't know," the actress continued. "I think any marriage can come through it, if you want to fight for it for the kids and stuff. But I'm not sure Nate's the kind of guy who could accept that when it's his uncle.
"It's going to cause an absolute uproar with the Dingles, which will be really fun to play. I can't wait to probably get a few drinks thrown in my face no doubt."
Things certainly look likely to get worse for Tracy and Caleb as someone is set to find out about their affair over Christmas, threatening to blow everything up.
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
