Emmerdale's Natalie J Robb has discussed a disturbing theory about Kyle becoming a serial killer.

Young Kyle has found himself at the centre of a police investigation over the death of Al Chapman, after he confessed to shooting his father Cain Dingle's arch-nemesis.

Flashback scenes revealed that Kyle had shot Al when he was concerned for his father's safety, with Cain later taking the blame by falsely confessing to the crime.

Asked if there's a chance he could become a serial killer, Natalie said: "I hope not!"

However, the longtime soap-star confessed that it's possible that writers will someday seize on Kyle's history with Cain and Al for a more sinister turn for the character.

"You don’t know and that could be an avenue that the writers or the producers might want to go down but that’s not for us to say but it could be a possibility. But maybe when he puts a wee bit more meat on and he just weren’t so gorgeous and dainty like a bird," she said.

One thing producers have confirmed is that Moira will have to answer some tough questions from police over Al's death.

Friday's episode revealed that Amy Wyatt lied to investigators in front of Kyle, claiming he'd only just confessed to them when they'd actually been actively covering up the truth for weeks.

Will Moira come clean about what she knows?

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
