Emmerdale airs dramatic scenes for Cain Dingle next week as he discovers the truth about his sister Chas having an affair with Al Chapman.
Cain is horrified when he finds Chas's secret burner phone, which she has been using to discreetly contact Al over the past few months.
As Cain searches through the phone, he finds a string of messages from an unknown number, which show that Chas is having an affair.

Cain decides to call the number and he's stunned when he hears Al's voice on the other end of the line.

Later, Cain plans his revenge against Al and uses the phone to set a trap for his nemesis.
Cain arranges a meeting and Al turns up, expecting to see Chas.
Al is initially shaken as Cain holds him at gunpoint, but he starts to doubt that the village bad boy will be prepared to pull the trigger.

As Al prepares to walk away, Cain reveals that he was only using the gun to get his attention. Cain prepares to fight Al instead, which kicks off a dangerous showdown.
When the situation escalates, both men look at the shotgun lying nearby and fight to reach it.
The gun is ultimately fired, but viewers will have to tune in to see who has shot who.
Meanwhile, Chas finds out that Cain knows the truth, but will she be too late to do anything about it?

Michael Wildman, who plays Al, recently teased the upcoming showdown between the two rivals.
He laughed: "It's about time! It's been in the making for a long time, let's get on with it!
"It's a situation that surely has to come. They've had a lot of banter and have been crossing swords, but they've never really actually gone full pelt on things."
