Emmerdale unveils Samson Dingle fate

Emmerdale has revealed Samson Dingle's fate after his disappearance.

The teen disappeared during last week's storm, missing the birth of his and Amelia Spencer's daughter. Because of his own father Sam's injury, the Dingles didn't realise Samson was gone until after the storm.

Viewers got a disturbing update to end last week when Samson was shown unconscious at the bottom of a cliff, while his family searched for him.

In Monday's (October 24) episode, Lydia faced the horrific realities of having to tell Sam that his son is missing while he's still recuperating in hospital.

Lydia could barely stand it as Sam blamed himself for his son's disappearance since they'd had an almighty row the last time they'd seen him before the storm.

"If all's happened, it's down to me," he told Lydia.

Amelia was just as worried about the father of her child going missing. Her boyfriend Noah Dingle agreed to join the search party, with Mackenzie Boyd tagging along as well.

This duo actually found Samson, though the boy was unconscious in a dark cave when they stumbled upon him. After an ad break, Lydia was shown chasing Samson's stretcher as it was rushed into ER back at the hospital.

The emergency room doctor explained that Samson had hypothermia as well as a suspected broken ankle. Later, Mack, Noah, Lydia and Samson were by Samson's side as he came around.

The teen explained he'd fallen down the cliff on a shortcut to his mate's but still dragged himself into the tunnel and covered himself with leaves for safety and warmth.

"I'm sorry I scared you all," he told his family.

When Samson thanked Noah for saving him, Noah assured him that he'd done it because Amelia wanted her baby to meet his dad. Lydia insisted Samson would put things right "soon enough".

The whole family later went to visit baby Esther, where Amelia shared a warm exchange with Samson as she welcomed him to meet their daughter.

However, when he was left alone with Samson, he told the child he was only there because his parents forced him to visit.
