Emmerdale's Laurel and Jai face opposition after their reunion

Emmerdale has recently seen Jai Sharma and Laurel Thomas reunite after splitting earlier this year and viewers have been watching as the pair have got back together in recent episodes.

However, not everyone is happy with the news of their reunion.

Viewers will see in upcoming scenes that the couple are joined in The Hop by Jai's son Archie and Laurel's son Arthur, when Laurel asks Jai to move back in with her.

Archie expresses that he isn't impressed with the latest decision as there has been so much upheaval for the family, which makes things quite awkward for everyone, but will this cause trouble for Laurel and Jai's future?

Last month, Jai punched Laurel's now ex-boyfriend Kit for cheating on Laurel with her step-daughter Gabby.

Elsewhere, Emmerdale has revisited the Jamie Tate storyline, which saw Jamie fake his own death last year after accidentally driving his 4x4 into a lake. He was desperate to cut all ties with Kim and covered his tracks with help from his mother-in-law Hazel.

Emmerdale bosses recently announced plans for Kim to take centre stage in the show's 50th anniversary episodes in October.

Kim's wedding day to Will has been named as one big story airing as part of the celebrations. However, clouds of uncertainty are forming due to Harriet Finch's unresolved feelings for Will and the deadly storm that's due to hit the village.
