Emmerdale spoilers follow.
Jai Sharma and Laurel Thomas have split once and for all in Emmerdale.
A few days have made all the difference in the world as the week started with the pair on the road to reconciliation, especially after Jai joined Laurel and the striking workers at the HOP.
Old problems resurfaced when Laurel found a packet of drugs along with Jai's lost wallet, leading to fears he'd relapsed. Jai has been convinced Kim Tate set him up as revenge for the HOP strike, but the drugs actually belong to Leyla.

In Thursday's double bill (April 28), Jai continued trying to prove to Laurel that he'd been stitched up over the drugs, after Rishi confided in her that Jai had almost been caught with drugs by the kids recently.

The two had an intensely personal argument in the pub where Laurel admitted "any respect [she] had for [him] was hanging by a thread and now it's gone".
"How can I be with somebody who has no integrity, no shame?" she angrily asked.
Rishi showed up and actually sided with Laurel to demand Jai call his sponsor and go to a support meeting immediately. Jai was furious that his partner and father wouldn't listen to his denials.
Leyla overheard the conversation, then piped up that nobody was "judging" Jai even though the drugs were actually hers! Jai had finally had enough – and wounded Laurel with a very personal insult.
"How do you think it is for me? Constantly living with the ghost of your perfect ex-husband [Ashley]? Everyone's favourite saint, Ashley," he blurted out.
"Oh, what a good man he was. Oh, what a great father he was! Whereas me, no, I am not good enough to sully his precious trust fund or to even try to be a parent to his daughter!"
Jai then accused Laurel of putting him under too much pressure, insisting he had "every reason" to give in to temptation and yet he still didn't.

"You're not my business anymore," Laurel told him. "And you're right about Ashley. He was a hundred times the man you'll ever be!"
Chris Bisson recently offered some insight on the couple's split, sharing his opinion that "Laurel's halo has slipped slightly" in the way she's treated Jai this time.
