Emmerdale's Daisy Campbell, who plays Amelia Spencer, decided on the father of her character's child.
Speaking to Inside Soap, Campbell opened up about the genesis of this twist storyline, explaining how Gabby Thomas's Rosie Bentham initially inspired her.
"I've always said my dream storyline would be really challenging. Rosie Bentham did such an amazing job with her character being pregnant last year and I thought, 'I'd love to do something similar.'

"Me and Liam [Fox, who plays Dan Spencer] discussed it, then pitched it to our producer Kate Brooks, and a few months later she told us it was happening."
Naturally, with both Campbell and Fox being the architects here, they were the ones who chose Amelia's lover (his identity is still a mystery for now).

"You're going to know very soon and all I'll say is that I don't think it's someone people will expect," she told the publication.
"Me and Liam figured out who the dad could be as part of creating the storyline, so I've known all along."

Earlier this week, the Amelia actress dropped a hint as to who it could be, with plenty of candidates now ready to scan through.
"Deep down she would [wish Noah Dingle was the father] because, without giving away who it is, the other father is not really around.
"Now she has got this connection with Noah, deep down she's wishing it was him because he's around more than this other person."
We'll have to wait and see who it turns out to be!
