Emmerdale confirms Naomi's grudge over Manpreet

The feud between Naomi Walters and Manpreet Sharma continues to intensify in Emmerdale.

The two have got off on the wrong ever since Naomi initially rejected Charles's attempts to get to know his long-lost daughter. Manpreet has been sceptical of Naomi, leading to a massive mistake this week.

Manpreet actually got Naomi temporarily locked up over false accusations that she'd attacked her father, when Charles had actually tripped in the aisle of the church.

Wednesday's (August 17) episode saw Manpreet tentatively trying to mend fences – even though Naomi warned her to stay away.

It was all a bit awkward when Manpreet accidentally walked in on Charles bonding with Ethan, Naomi and their mum Esme, thus making her feel a bit insecure.

To make matters worse, Manpreet was put on the backfoot by Naomi and Esme peppering her with questions about Meena — including why she'd stayed in the village even after Meena's rampage.

"It must be awful seeing people everyday, knowing your sister killed their friends and family," Esme insisted.

Charles piped in: "I'm really glad she was brave enough to stay. This village is her home!"

Once Naomi felt like she'd needled Manpreet enough, she actually agreed to a fresh start and announced she'd move into Ethan's flat. However, Naomi later admitted that was just a lie once Charles was out of earshot.

"I can't trust someone like you to look after my dad in his condition. You could be a danger to him," Naomi told Manpreet. "You put me through a lot of hell and I'll never forgive for that?"
