Emmerdale's Manpreet suspects Naomi over Charles's injury

Manpreet suspects Naomi is responsible for Charles's injury in the latest Emmerdale episode.

Monday's (August 15th) episode opened with Manpreet trying to comfort Charles over his row with Naomi for spending time with Ethan rather than him.

"She's clearly troubled," Manpreet insisted, with Charles countering: "I can't imagine why!"

While Charles refused to give up on his daughter, Manpreet questioned whether it was better to let things simmer down for now.

In spite of a warning in the village from Manpreet to stay away, Naomi did turn up to meet Ethan for some coffee at the cafe.

The siblings then decided they wanted to continue getting to know each other, and Naomi agreed to see Charles for one more chance.

Charles was thrilled as Naomi showed up at the church. He acknowledged he'd been approaching their reconciliation in the wrong way and was ready to take things on her terms.

However, the vicar was flustered once Naomi brought up Manpreet's warning to stay away. The camera shifted to Manpreet, listening outside the church as Naomi told Charles she didn't need him.

After Naomi stormed out of the church, Manpreet rushed inside to find Charles having collapsed in the aisle. PC Finch was right on Manpreet's heels to call an ambulance while Charles lay motionless.

Naomi returned as the paramedics tended to Charles, but Manpreet ordered her out of the church.

"He was fine when I left," Naomi insisted, but Manpreet shot back: "Like hell he was."

Manpreet demanded PC Finch "sort out" Naomi as Charles was rushed to the hospital, but when she refused, Harriet arrested her on suspicion of assault.

At the hospital, Manpreet was obsessed with the cause of Charles's head injury, but the nurses had no information. She compared Naomi to Meena, though Ethan was clearly uncomfortable with her conclusion.
