Emmerdale reveals hope of reunion for Vanessa and Suzy

Emmerdale has revealed some hope of a reunion between Vanessa Woodfield and Suzy Merton following their recent fall-out.

As viewers will recall, Vanessa learnt that Suzy was a drug user and had been inadvertently involved in Holly Barton's death after giving her money, which she used to buy drugs – with tragic consequences.

Things came to the fore at the Take A Vow showcase at The HOP, where a slideshow accidentally revealed a photo of Holly the day she died. After Suzy privately came clean to Vanessa about her involvement, the latter was left feeling devastated.

In upcoming scenes, Vanessa continues to make it clear she wants nothing to do with Suzy, but deep down, she's just putting up a front to hide her true feelings about the split.

Later on though, Paddy suggests to Moira that should give Vanessa her blessing to get back together with Suzy.

But will she go through with it? And if she does, will it actually work out this time?

Vanessa actress Michelle Hardwick opened up about her character reaction to Suzy's secrets, explaining: "Suzy tries to get out of it to start with. She says she doesn't do drugs anymore, but for Vanessa it's too late and there's too many lies. She feels like she doesn't know Suzy anymore. The trust has gone."

As for whether the couple can stay together? She admitted: "It's a hard one. They do love each other and I really do believe that. If Suzy is clean, maybe there's a second chance – or maybe a third or fourth, I've lost count now! I love working with Martelle [Edinborough] so I'd be sad if they broke up."
