Emmerdale's Andrea Tate made a shock return to the village tonight (September 11) as Jamie dropped a major bombshell.
Andrea has been spending time away from the Dales recently after realising it was time to stop blackmailing Jamie to stay with her.
When she left, she even gave Jamie her blessing to be with his true love Belle Dingle, perhaps not thinking he'd jump at the opportunity so quickly.
Recent episodes have seen Belle face a bit of a backlash from her family over her relationship with Jamie.

While most of the Dingles are unaware that it was Jamie who knocked down Moira in the recent hit-and-run, they still disapprove of him for being part of the Tate family.

In tonight's scenes, he told Belle that he wants to push ahead with divorcing Andrea, regardless of what anyone thinks.
Belle was touched to see how committed Jamie is to their relationship, but feared that an angry Andrea would report his hit-and-run to police out of spite.

It was as they discussed things that Andrea returned home and interrupted the conversation.
Andrea was shocked to see how well the couple had adjusted considering Jamie's recent incident, though she took the suggestion of a divorce surprisingly well, even encouraging it.
But while leaving the house, Andrea shocked her estranged husband when she told him that he'd have to be the one to tell their daughter Millie about their divorce.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
