Former Emmerdale star Samantha Giles has shared her newest project following her departure from the ITV show.
Samantha, who played Bernice Blackstock until 2019, revealed on Twitter that she is releasing a children's book later this summer.
"So I can now announce my amazing news!" she tweeted. "I am so excited to say that my first children's book Rosemary and The Witches of Pendle Hill is going to be published THIS SUMMER by the fabulous @AgoraBooksLDN. Watch this space!"

Several of Samantha's former co-stars congratulated her online, including Laura Norton (Kerry Wyatt), Zoe Henry (Rhona Goskirk), Amy Walsh (Tracy Metcalfe), Natalie Ann Jamieson (Amy Wyatt), Sandra Marvin (Jessie Grant), and Nick Miles (Jimmy King).
Samantha said in another tweet that the age range for the book is 8 to 12.

At the time of her character's exit, Samantha said that she was interested in trying other roles and projects, perhaps "play something a bit more gritty".
Earlier this year, Samantha shared that show bosses were reluctant to see her leave.
"Emmerdale very kindly left the door open for me," she explained. "I wouldn't have minded if they'd killed me off, but they were lovely."
Emmerdale currently airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7pm on ITV.
