EastEnders' Priya Nandra-Hart is left in an embarrassing situation next week, when her fling with boss Max Branning is almost rumbled. Though Max manages to hide Priya from his fiancée Cindy Beale, there will be huge consequences for his actions.
Max and Priya shared an ill-advised night together last month, after both were feeling rejected in their respective relationships. However, when Cindy decided to take Max up on his marriage proposal, he tried (and failed) to end his secret dalliance.

Since then, Priya has been blackmailing Max by threatening to blow up his engagement, and in upcoming episodes, she lures him to The Arches, where love rat Max struggles to resist another hook-up.
"When Priya first came to Walford, we saw this toxic and chaotic side of her, and her dynamic with Max is definitely bringing it back," says Sophie Khan Levy, who portrays the popular Priya.

"She's taking satisfaction from feeling in control again, something she's felt she's lost. On the surface it's fun and distracting, but deep down I don't think she truly enjoys it," added the actor.
Unfortunately, the pair are interrupted by both Lauren and Cindy, who turn up at the garage unannounced. Max convinces Priya to hide in the boot of a car - unaware that his daughter is about to drive off in it!
As a suspicious Cindy begins to grill Max after he defended Priya earlier in the day, the latter is forced to endure a nightmare journey crammed in the back of the vehicle. When she returns to the Square, a vengeful Priya is determined to expose her boss.

"What isn't going through her mind?" asked Khan Levy. "She's trying to figure out how to get out of the situation, while also panicking about what happens if she's caught. She's also furious with Max for putting her in that position.
"The humiliation cuts deep, especially given what she was enjoying about the relationship. Max has shifted her from feeling in control to feeling humiliated... It's a very dangerous game for Max to be playing."
EastEnders airs on Mondays-Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
