EastEnders' Ian Beale is set to gain a surprising new ally on the soap.
In new scenes airing on the BBC show next week, Cindy – who has clashed with Ian over questions that he could be the one who attacked her on Christmas Day – is denied entry to No 45 by Ian, Kathy and Peter as she tries to get in.
She then pleads with Ian at Beale's Eels, though accusations quickly fly, and Ian is saved by Priya amid the dispute. Yet Priya leaves when Ian accidentally offends her.

However, the two later share a drink in The Vic, and things start to get messy when Cindy arrives with Ravi and Junior.

It comes after scenes this week, which will see Cindy decide to take up Junior's offer of a place to stay amid the tensions, which leaves the Beales furious given her recent affair with him.
Meanwhile, Ravi's affair with Denise is exposed, which particularly upsets Chelsea given her history with him, as well as Denise's ex Jack. Denise is admittedly torn between Ravi and Jack, while the two love rivals face off over Denise in The Vic.
Viewers will get to have their say over who Denise chooses as part of a public vote.
EastEnders airs on Mondays-Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
