EastEnders has aired two major twists involving Ruby Allen as part of her soap return.
Louisa Lytton, who left the soap in 2021, returned this week in a dramatic comeback episode where she confronted her former partner Martin Fowler.
Martin found out through Sharon that he was the father of a child he doesn't know about, but there's more to the story.

Sharon sat on the information for a while, trying to find the right moment to share the news with Martin, who has been otherwise preoccupied with Sonia’s imprisonment and the closure of Bridge Street market.
Sharon broke the news to Martin this week, and later provided physical evidence of his child with a birth certificate. It's not long after the revelation that a stunned Martin was reunited with Ruby, who turned up on his doorstep to confirm the truth in person.

Ruby barged in and accused Martin of breaking into her home, but Sharon corrected her. When Martin demanded to know if they have a child together, Ruby finally admited they have a son.
Also present in the confrontation was Stacey, who Martin confided in after Sharon broke the news of his long-lost son.
There was a war of words between former-friends-now-enemies Stacey and Ruby and as the tension rose, Ruby delivered another bombshell - she gave their son up for adoption.

Martin was devastated that Ruby had made this decision without informing him, and after another row, Ruby stormed out angrily.
Martin shared his plans to find Ruby in order to get their son’s adoption details, and Stacey offered to help track her down.
She told him that she went home in one of Kat’s cabs, which should lead him to his former partner. However, when they approached Kat, she explained that the booking wasn't for a home address, it was actually for a hospital.
After arriving at the hospital, Martin and Stacey spotted Ruby and followed her to a room where a sick toddler was sleeping. With Martin realising that Ruby has lied again, how will he react?
EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
