EastEnders has confirmed four huge storylines for the New Year, seeing 2023 begin with devastating heartbreak and explosive secrets for the residents of Walford.
Lola Pearce and Jay Brown are left coming to terms with the fact that their time together is running out, as Lola comes to terms with the fact that her brain tumour is terminal.
With her health quickly deteriorating, the discovery of a photo from her past sets Lola out on her final journey. Will she be able to find the answers she's looking for before it's too late?

Meanwhile, Whitney and Zack are tested when a face from the past drops a huge bombshell and puts the pair's relationship at risk. As Whitney focuses on her pregnancy Zack is forced to confront his troubled past once and for all.

Over at The Vic, Linda Carter is still reeling over the devastation of Mick’s disappearance. Struggling to cope without the love of her life, Linda is left battling against her old demons as she attempts to rebuild her life for her young children, Ollie and Annie. Will she be able to find the strength to continue?
Clenshaw recently teased a huge 2023 storyline for Linda, saying: "She’s not going to get over Mick very quickly. She was just reunited with him then he was snatched away from her, so it won’t be all smiles straight away, but there are big plans for Linda."
