EastEnders spoilers follow.

EastEnders has confirmed there will be gunshot drama in Albert Square as Phil Mitchell scrambles to rescue Kat Slater and her son Tommy Moon.

As fans will know, Phil has repeatedly found himself at odds with corrupt police officer DCI Keeble, who has held a grudge against the Mitchell family after Eric murdered her father in the 1970's.

In scenes which are set to air next week, Phil will reluctantly team-up with nemesis Keanu Taylor in order to rescue Kat and Tommy from DCI Keeble.

Keanu recently returned to Walford after three years away, forming a shaky alliance with Phil in order to bring down the DCI. However Keanu would later find himself banished from the square by Phil following the discovery of his affair with Sam Mitchell.
