Further disruptions are set to hit your favourite ITV soaps as the men's FIFA World Cup kicks off. Both Coronation Street and Emmerdale were off air on Tuesday due to coverage of the Women's World Cup qualifiers, but returned to normal on Wednesday.
Tonight, however, the soaps are off air once more as coverage of the men's 2026 World Cup begins.

The opening ceremony will be aired on ITV1 at 6.15pm, followed by the Mexico vs South Africa game from 7.50pm.
Both soaps return on Friday with rare hour-long episodes, with follow-up bumper instalments set for Monday, 15 June and Tuesday, 16 June.
