Coronation Street's Debbie Webster shocks Ryan Connor by kissing him next week, following a tense exchange that takes place at the Chariot Square Hotel.
After Debbie responds to a customer complaint with an astoundingly rude reply, Ryan leaps in to save the day – before the hotel owner thanks him with a kiss on the lips…
"Debbie lands a smacker right on Ryan's mouth," our Corrie source reveals.
"After the hotel guest feels affronted by Debbie's brashness and whips out their phone to record her, Ryan steps in and convinces them to delete the damning footage.
"Debbie is delighted that her assistant manager has protected her from disaster – but her way of thanks clearly crosses a line…"

Ryan is stunned by Debbie's inappropriate move, but ultimately, he feels more worried about the impact that young onset dementia is having on her life.
With that in mind, he feels the best thing to do is tell Debbie's other half exactly what went down between them.
Once Ryan admits to Ronnie Bailey that Debbie kissed him, as well as the fact that he feels concerned for her, the businessman is left reeling – all while Debbie remains oblivious to the heartbreak she has unwittingly caused.

"Ronnie is totally in love with Debbie," our insider points out. "The events of recent months have placed so much stress on his shoulders, so this feels like another terrible blow.
"He wants to be there for his partner through it all, but we'll have to see whether Debbie can offer an explanation that Ronnie views as valid enough. It's a very awkward situation for all involved."
Later in the week, Ryan pulls Debbie aside and explains that while he stepped up in her time of need, the next assistant manager she hired might not have the same patience as him.
As Debbie continues to suffer from dementia, will Ronnie find a way to move forward from her kiss with Ryan? Or might her erratic behaviour become too much to bear?
