Coronation Street's Betsy Swain faces an unexpected intervention in Monday's episode following her bitter clash with her mum Lisa.
Betsy receives some well-meaning advice from Nina Lucas after the upsetting drama surrounding the hostage situation at Ken Barlow's house.
Last week, Betsy was shot in the arm when she got caught in the crossfire of Rob Donovan's dangerous showdown with Lisa and Carla Connor.
During a tussle for Rob's gun, Lisa's finger was on the trigger when the weapon was accidentally fired and hit Betsy, who was outside.

Although Betsy was able to forgive Lisa for the accident involving the weapon, she was far less understanding over her mum's decision to wade into the situation in the first place.
In an emotional row at the hospital, Betsy accused Lisa of prioritising Carla's safety above everything else. Betsy pointed out that she would have become an orphan if Rob had killed Lisa.
Monday's episode sees Betsy left with food for thought when Nina encourages her to see the situation differently.
Initially sticking to her stance, Betsy suggests that Lisa should have focused on running "a million miles in the other direction" when she learned that Rob was holding Carla at gunpoint.

However, Nina argues: "It doesn't sound to me like it was much of a choice. I imagine it was just pure instinct and love.
"If it had been you, she would have done exactly the same thing. Because that's what you do when you love someone – there's no stopping and thinking. If they're in danger, you just do everything in your power to protect them."
She adds: "Isn't it an amazing thing for your mum to have found a love like the one she has with Carla?"
